When you face a significant medical decision — a new diagnosis, a recommended surgery, a chronic condition that isn't improving — it is entirely reasonable to seek an independent perspective. A second opinion can confirm your current course of treatment, identify alternative approaches, or raise questions worth discussing with your own doctor.

This service is open to anyone, regardless of condition, country, or health system. You do not need a referral. You share the documents you already have, and receive a written opinion prepared specifically for your situation.

What to send

  • Specialist letters, discharge summaries, or clinic notes
  • Relevant investigation results (blood tests, imaging reports, pathology)
  • A brief description of your symptoms and how long they have been present
  • Your specific question or concern

What you receive

A clear written opinion addressing your question, reviewing the evidence provided, and outlining how the findings compare with current clinical guidance. If further investigation appears warranted, this will be noted.

All documents are handled in strict confidence and deleted once the opinion is delivered. See the GDPR page for full details.

Medical documents are written by clinicians for clinicians. The result is often a letter or report that describes your own health in terms you cannot readily follow. This service translates your medical documentation into plain, accurate language — so you know what has been found, what it means, and what happens next.

Every clinical detail is preserved; it is the language, not the content, that changes. The rendered version is suitable for sharing with family members, employers, social services, or any non-clinical reader who needs to understand your situation.

Typical uses

  • Specialist discharge letters or outpatient clinic notes
  • Pathology or radiology reports following a diagnosis
  • Psychiatric or psychological assessments
  • Medicolegal reports prepared for legal proceedings
  • Any document you have received but cannot fully follow
Documents are handled in confidence and not retained. Full privacy policy on the GDPR page.

Many social problems have a health dimension that is poorly documented, misunderstood, or simply absent from the official record. This service provides an independent medical evaluation of your situation for use in applications, appeals, or proceedings where a professional assessment matters.

This service may be relevant if you are

  • Applying for social housing or emergency rehousing on health grounds
  • Involved in care proceedings or child custody matters with a health component
  • Seeking to document the health impact of a workplace situation or redundancy
  • Preparing an appeal against a social services decision
  • Requiring professional documentation of your situation for any formal purpose
A brief initial exchange by email is recommended before payment to confirm that this service fits your needs.

Insurance decisions — regarding disability, life cover, critical illness, travel, or income protection — frequently turn on a medical judgment. If a claim has been rejected or offered on terms you believe are unfair, an independent medical evaluation can provide the foundation for a well-supported challenge.

What this covers

  • Review of an insurer's medical reasoning in a rejection or partial award
  • Assessment of whether a pre-existing condition has been correctly characterised
  • Preparation of a supplementary medical statement for appeal
  • Written opinion suitable for use with a solicitor or ombudsman
Send a summary of your claim and the documentation you hold before payment. A brief exchange will confirm whether this service is the right fit.

Applications for disability benefits, incapacity payments, carer allowances, and related entitlements are often unsuccessful at first submission — not because the applicant lacks entitlement, but because the medical dimensions of their situation are not documented in the terms the assessing authority requires.

What is offered

  • Review of your existing application and supporting documents
  • Preparation of a supplementary medical statement describing functional limitations
  • Guidance on what assessors look for and how to present your situation accurately
  • Support for reconsideration or formal appeal of a rejected application
  • Written report suitable for submission to a tribunal or panel

This service is available for benefit systems in any country. Familiarity with Nordic, UK, and EU frameworks is strongest, but applications from other jurisdictions are welcome.

An initial email exchange is recommended before payment so scope and timeline can be confirmed.
